In 2011, the first ‘Science X Factor‘ competition was held!  The 4th Year Biopharmaceutical class along with the Bioprocess Engineers performed a project whereby, working in teams, they generated short (2-4 minute) video clips explaining a scientific process to the general public.  An x-factor results day was held where the winners were voted for and selected.  The project has continued each year producing a bank of videos that thanks to the students providing permission, can be used as reusable learning objects in classes. If you scroll down, you will see the top two videos along with the winners receiving their prize.
